Migdal Insurance
Illustrated 2015 Calendar

Migdal Insurance was established in Jerusalem in 1934 by families of businessmen working under the British Mandate, a group of Jewish families from Alexandria, and the Italian insurance company Generali. The name “Migdal” (Hebrew for “tower”) was given by Israel’s national poet Haim Nachman Bialik as a reflection of the strength and security provided to its clients. Indeed, for over 80 years, Migdal has offered clients a rich and diverse selection of insurance, pensions, and financial asset management services, granting them protection and financial security.

The conceptual design of the calendar which was chosen by Migdal Insurance Company was picked from a variety of proposals submitted by several designers and Studio Basman/Tenenbaum.

Since Haim Nachman Bialik gave the company Migdal its name, it was decided that poetic illustrations of Haim Nachman Bialik, the national poet would be in the calendar.

The arrangement of the illustration to the lyrics emphasizes the beauty and nostalgia we all yearn for and served the purpose for the distribution of the illustrated calendar to the policyholders & customers. This was all linked to the date of the 60th anniversary of the death of the national poet.
